Will power is not effective long term as you can not rapidly alter learned behaviour in your unconscious mind, as your body and mind do not understand. In times of weakness you will make excuses and revert back or will feel uncomfortable and be fighting with yourself. Hypnosis and NLP, unlike other forms of hypnotherapy and counselling produces results very quickly. Do not struggle, there is an easy way.

There are many fears & misunderstandings about the use & state of hypnosis but it is an entirely natural state, daydreaming, driving, watching television, long telephone calls, reading can all induce a state of hypnosis, so most of us experience this state every day. Hypnotherapy is a way of tapping into the subconscious mind to harness the body's own resources for healing or changing behaviour. It is a safe therapy, recognised as a form of treatment by the British Medical Counsel. You will not need will power as you will immediately feel different about whatever you are being treated for.

Will power is not effective long term as you can not alter learned behaviour in your unconscious mind rapidly without talking directly to your unconscious. The result is that your body and mind do not understand, that you want to do something different and in times of weakness you will make excuses and revert back. Alternatively you will feel uncomfortable and be fighting with yourself. Do not struggle there is an easy way. Unlike other forms of therapy and counselling, which often take months or years to show results, hypnotherapy and NLP gives you positive suggestions, alternative new behaviours, and techniques, meaning you can change very rapidly. Quite often this is done without exploring or talking about your worries at all.

The NLP Communications Model

Every school boy knows that science never proves anything. Yes it sometimes proves hypotheses, sometimes even disproves them. We can say that ‘proof’ arrived at by some process of perception may imply that such and such a supposition causes such and such an abstraction. How sound can our ‘truth’ of perception, based on an induction from a perception be? We base our realities on the basis of the rule of parsimony or Occam’s razor. That is a preference for the simplest assumption that will fit the facts.

If we consider that our own perceptual filters, our beliefs and values (some of which we may not even be consciously aware of) influence what we see, what we hear and what we feel. What we expect, will be in our map of the world.

The epistemological question ‘How do we know?’ is fundamental to NLP. The use of this question alone begins to explore your map of the world and exploration is change – no matter how small.

We experience whatever is out there (reality) through our own neural circuits. So whatever radiation is received by say our eyes is passed through our receptors and converted into information for the brain. The brain then does some interpretation to create the image that we see with our eyes. This is what we see in the moment, not a memory of the event.

When we recall a memory we access some part of our coded map of the world. Do you see the memory in full colour? Is it through your own eyes / can you see yourself? Do you recall all of the sounds clearly? More interestingly – do you recall the event exactly as you first coded it or could it have been mysteriously altered!

The Body and Mind Are Related

The Body and mind are part of the same system.  When you think about good things you have the good feelings, and when you think in negative ways you can feel bad.  Attached to this is the way you stand and move you body. They way you use your body results in specfic feelings.  When people cry they tend to look down. To help a friend when they are feeling bad take them for a quick walk, or get them to change the way they are sitting get them to go for a look up  this will help them to reduce or eradicate negative feelings. If you want to change you life you need to change the meanings you make on the world and that starts with you changing on the inside.

If you can relate any of these to yourself, then your probably noticed the body mind connection, awareness is the first step to creating change in your life.

  • Our body language of differs according to the emotional state we are in (happy or sad)

  • Changing our physiology can change our mood, for example, working out in the gym after a tiring day

  • We intuitively read a great deal about a person's emotional state, their thinking etc. from shifts in their body language

  • When engaged in an exciting activity we notice pain less ("it's only a scratch!")

  • Simply imagining eating something pleasant or unpleasant can cause individuals to salivate or gag!

  • People who believe they will get better actually do heal faster than those who don't believe (even if the condition is similar)

  • Mental activities such as meditation can affect heart rate, blood flow etc.

  • Athletes who work on their "mental game" tend to perform better than those who don't (e.g. the phenomenon of ‘choking')

So keep in mind:
